The East Park ‘solar energy generating station’ proposal is 25 times bigger than the local Manor Farm solar site and 34 times the size of the Graham Water solar array. We’re not against solar power. But we are against a ground-mounted solar site that government data shows would only produce a fraction of its capacity. And we are against building this unjustifiable, over-scaled industrial plant across the miles of productive, historic farmland that surrounds our villages. The impact on Great Staughton, Hail Weston, Keysoe, Little Staughton, Pertenhall, Swineshead and beyond would be significant – and devastating to our countryside.
